Every peak season we send partner sellers a stocking reminder. Same this year, condensed to 5 points.
1. Inbound bulk goods as early as possible
Don't wait until the last two weeks before the holiday. That's when receiving docks queue and last-mile is tight — most uncertainty.
2. Verify SKU and packing list before inbound
The more accurate the advance notice, the faster receiving and shelving. Wrong or missing info eventually becomes shipment delay.
3. Confirm cut-off time and capacity ceiling
Confirm the daily cut-off node with the warehouse, back-schedule replenishment accordingly, avoid "goods in warehouse but missed the truck."
4. Prepare backup last-mile
A single carrier fluctuates easily in peak; have at least one backup plan.
5. Keep inventory visible
Glance at in-warehouse, in-transit, and sellable daily — more useful than month-end reconciliation.
Peak season is about preparation, not luck.
Treat these 5 as a checklist to tick off one by one; it's far easier than firefighting.
