Peak Shipping Pitfalls: Cut-off Time, Overflow, Last-mile Capacity

Peak lost orders fall into three places: ignoring cut-off, warehouse overflow, no last-mile capacity. Plan each and you stabilize.

Peak failures, again and again, are those three pits. Plan ahead, far stronger than firefighting during the holiday.

Pit 1: Ignoring cut-off time

Thinking "order today, ship today," but past the cut-off, goods sit in warehouse overnight. Counter: write the warehouse cut-off into your shipping SOP, back-schedule operations.

Pit 2: Warehouse overflow

Concentrated inbound before holiday, receiving docks queue, shelving slow. Counter: inbound bulk early, batch arrivals, don't bet the last week.

Pit 3: No last-mile capacity

Warehouse shipped, but truck / courier full, stuck on the road. Counter: at least two last-mile plans, confirm peak capacity ceiling with warehouse.

Peak stability is about whether you planned, not about luck.

Walk these three pits one by one with corresponding actions, and Black Friday and Cyber Monday drop fewer links.
