Our Inventory Counting Logic: How Book-and-Physical Consistency Is Achieved

When inventory counts don't match, that's the root of all mis-ships and overselling. We treat 'book-physical consistency' as daily discipline, not month-end sprint.

Sellers' biggest fear is one sentence: "the system shows yes, but the warehouse has none." We treat "book-physical consistency" as daily discipline, not a month-end sprint.

Book on inbound

Once goods arrive and pass check, book into the system immediately; sellable count updates in real time — no waiting for manual spreadsheet sync.

Cycle counting on active items

For high-frequency in/out SKUs, do periodic sampling; for long-idle inventory, do regular full counts. Kill variances at the scene, not wait for peak to expose them.

Variance alerting

When the system finds "book doesn't match physical," it flags immediately for a person to review, rather than letting it flow into orders.

Inventory accuracy is what makes all the efficiency before it meaningful.

For sellers it means the inventory number you see stays close to reality, and the odds of overselling and "order but no goods" drop.
